Last friday, I went to Jombang with my crew, to attend a meeting with someone from The Ministry of Research and Tecnology of Republic of Indonesia. They called him Mr. Effendi. He is incharge for the implementasion of IGOS program, which is short from Indonesia Goes Open Source program. This program has been introduced for public since 2004, but it takes long time till now, that even not 5% from the population informed about the program. So the question is why? Just like other problems in Indonesia, this come from the human resource. Lot of computer user in Indonesia have known Microsoft product very well, this cause lack information, since they dont have time to learn it from the beginning, or they dont like to learn a new thing, and even they cant afford to pay for the teacher. But they also cant afford for the propriatery software. What a shame, that Indonesia had been called as the 3rd piracy country in the world.
